Processed Honey
Raw Honey
Raw honey is different from generic grocery store honey in that it has never been pasteurized. This heating process kills many of the beneficial nutrients. Your raw honey will most likely sugar up (crystalize) or even be purchased this way since it was never heated. It can still be used for many things, though! Using in place of processed sugar, drip free toast, or in your daily cup of coffee to name a few! It is a good source of antioxidants and has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties. You can use it to heal wounds or burns on you or your pets! A spoonful for a sore throat is a very soothing remedy. Also using local honey has been proven to decrease seasonal allergies. Store your raw honey in an air tight container and keep away from extreme heat. Under these conditions your honey should keep for many years!.....if you can keep it from being eaten before then!
